The latest Coronavirus update from Mother Ivey’s Bay
Important information for guests and owners from Patrick Langmaid the Director of Mother Ivey’s Bay Holiday Park
Guest information – Postponed opening at Mother Ivey’s
Thank you to everyone who has already contacted my team, and I do appreciate that many of you are worried by the spread of Covid-19.
While I of course have no more idea than anyone else how this pandemic will play out, to help protect you, my valued guests, along with my team and our local community, and wishing to hopefully help flatten the curve of infection, I am today postponing opening Mother Ivey’s from Friday 27th March to Saturday 25th April 2020. I apologise that all hiring and touring holiday bookings during this period are cancelled.
Dealing with key points:
- Refunds. My team will be making full refunds, but given the volume of cancellations, these may take up to a week.
- 2021 advance bookings. Our 2021 advance bookings will open to 2020 guests when Mother Ivey’s eventually opens for the 2020 season, presently 25th April 2020, and while your 2020 holiday has been cancelled, please be reassured that you will still be invited to make a 2021 advance booking at Mother Ivey’s, if that is your wish.
I appreciate that while some guests will be relieved, others will be disappointed, and I sincerely apologise for causing that upset, but I am determined that Mother Ivey’s plays it’s part helping to flatten the curve of infection, for the benefit of everyone.
While I still have no more idea than anyone else how this pandemic will play out, to help protect you, along with my team and our local community, and wishing to hopefully help flatten the curve of infection, we have decided to close the Park to owners as well. We really are looking forward to welcoming you back to Mother Ivey’s Bay once the Park opens again – please keep checking our Facebook page, Instagram, Twitter feed and website for regular updates.
