Our top places to visit with the kids this Easter

06 April 2017:Postcards from the Park

With Easter just around the corner and the holidays already upon us, there’s a whole host of activities for all the family to enjoy come rain or shine in Cornwall. Here are just a few of our favourites:

National Lobster Hatchery

Located in Padstow, the National Lobster Hatchery is a centre of excellence for lobster science and a great place to visit in Cornwall. Within a stone’s throw of the Camel Estuary, the hatchery’s exhibits include a rare orange lobster, crabs, starfish and baby lobsters in the maternity unit.

Bodmin and Wenford Steam Railway

The Bodmin and Wenford Steam Railway Easter Egg-travaganza is offering a free Easter egg for all children. They can also enjoy the railway’s smaller engines – including Alfred and Judy, who were the inspiration for Bill and Ben in the Thomas the Tank Engine books.

Eden Project

Join the Easter fun at Eden until the 17th April. A golden egg hunt, new wobbly rope bridge in the rainforest treetops and an Australian garden await visitors during the Easter holidays. All activities are included in the admission ticket.

Bodmin Jail

Indulge in a three course Easter lunch at Bodmin Jail and the kids can have fun getting their faces painted and join the egg hunt. We recommend making a day of it and exploring the jail itself – discovering its fascinating, but haunting history.

Dairyland

Find out what life’s really like down on the farm at Dairyland Farm World near Newquay. An all-weather attraction, head over between Good Friday and Easter Monday to search for hidden chocolate treats.

Trerice

With egg hunts and flowers blooming, there are lots of reasons to visit Trerice this Easter. Once again the Cadbury Bunny has hidden yummy choccy bunnies across Britain – join the egg hunt between the 13th and 17th April, 11am – 5pm, to find them!
